How does he do it?
Ultimate Rhythm Studios is Charlie’s personal Studio located in the heart of lovely Hollywood, California.
Recording, editing, mixing, and mastering. Ultimate Rhythm Studios will handle your projects from start to finish.

How It Works
*Step 1 – Get A Quote
To get the process started please Contact Charlie for a quote. (all quotes will be specific to the project)
Once you have a quote there are several options on how to send your tracks, CD, DVD, e-mail or YouSendit. Whichever is easiest for you but we highly recommend using YouSendit. It’s free to set up an account and works great. If you are in Los Angeles you can always come by the studio to drop your tracks off or schedule a time to work directly with Charlie.
What To Send
You can send as little or as much as you would like but it’s usually not necessary to send entire sessions. Most of the time simple stems (audio files) of the most important tracks are all that is required. If you only have a rough scratch track that’s ok too. Just make sure it represents your idea.
It is also good to send a click track from your session. Why? It is just a safety precaution to make sure that your new drum tracks line up perfectly in your session. Note: this is just a precaution!

*Step 2 – Project Details
This is the time to give any extra details that you want on your recording ie: song structure, musical direction, style and any other direction you may want to give. Or, if you are the adventurous type, you can let Charlie do his thang and lay down his ideas. Either way it’s a good time for human contact (at least via e-mail).
We’ll also need to get the techie details, i.e., sample rate (44.1k, 48k, 88.2k, 96k), bit rate (16 or 24) and what files type you want your files to be (aiff, wav, sdII).
*Step 3 – Your Approval Required
When the drum tracks are completed you will receive an MP3 via e-mail to approve. If changes are necessary Charlie will do one revision based on your feedback and e-mail you another MP3. Additional revisions are available for an additional fee.
What You Get
Depending on the direction and style of your songs you’ll get between 10-16 tracks ready for you to mix. A typical set-up looks like:
- Kick In
- Kick Out
- Snare Top
- Snare Bottom
- Hi-Hat
- Ride
- Tom 1
- Tom 2
- Tom 3
- Overhead LF
- Overhead RT
- Room LF
- Room RT
This is perhaps one of the most versatile configurations but ultimately your sound and style will determine the set-up.
Once you approve your tasty new drum tracks they will be delivered to you via YouSendIt, DVD or if you’re local you can swing by the studio and pick them up.
Drummers & other Instrumentalists
Already have a drummer? Or maybe you’re a drummer needing to record tracks. Either way we are more than happy to accommodate you. All you need to do is schedule time with Charlie for a recording session and your off.
Recording of Vocals, Guitar, Bass and any other instrument you can think of is available as well. So is mixing, editing and video production. In short URS is a full music production house.
